New press cards

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

It takes me a long time to make decisions. I am one of those hurry up and wait types. You know, I have to have it and then I need the week to think about the decision. So I am so glad I finally got these printed. I have been wanting to do these for a long time, but just kept procrastinating. They go along with my new campaign perfectly and add some punch instead of a boring business cards. Business cards are so last year.

The new and improved blog

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

I love new things, especially when they make life so much easier. I have been wanting to redesign my blog for some time now, but things have been so hectic that I haven’t had a chance. Well, I wish I had done it much sooner now because it is so much easier for me to post. Don’t forget to bookmark this page because I this is where I will post new product offerings, latest news, and most importantly, sneak peeks from my latest shoots.

Writing on the wall? Oh yeah!

Ok, so I am always scouting out the newest and coolest things for brides. I just love finding something that can help personalize a wedding or something that might make a bride’s life a little easier. Well, I stumbled upon this little gem, and I love this idea. It’s called Wonderful Grafitti and I just think it is super cool and sophisticated. They also have cool ideas for your first home.

I actually found one for my office wall. What do you think?

Just amazing

I am sharing this video that my husband sent to me from Britian’s Got Talent. Now if you have ever seen the American show, you rarely will see someone with a spark of actual talent. The show does do a good job at featuring bizarre acts, but I am not sure they qualify in the talent category. But this video just shows you that you can never underestimate people. It brought me to tears, so I just had to share. What an inspiration! Oh yeah, if you are at work, turn down your speakers.

More than a pretty picture, connecting through storytelling

Friday, April 27th, 2007

It might sound cliche, but the reason I am so passionate about wedding photography is that I am a sucker for a good love story. And yes, I am a sap. Crafting that story is probably the most gratifying (read: challenging) part of my job. To me, the most memorable photographs are always the ones that show how I felt instead of I looked.

That is why I want to share a Web site that a friend just introduced to me to called storycorps.net. This is a project that helps people record their love stories. You can listen to the stories by downloading the podcasts or share your own. (I was only able to get through a few because the stories are tearjerkers.)

I love to see this kind of work because it reminds me how important it is to connect with people through storytelling.
