mozdev.org - reminderfox: installationUploaded with plasq’s Skitch!

Here is just a little something I have found super useful for helping me keep up with my personal calendar and I thought I would share it with you. It is a plugin for the Firefox browser called Reminderfox. It is so easy to use and has really made my life easier. It is free too. Can’t beat that.

Office makeover part I

Cloverdale Paint

My office is in desperate need of a makeover. Right now, it is a just a place to work. There’s nothing special about it, no pictures, no plants, not even a snapshot of my son to be found, and it is starting to remind me of my cubicle days. Eek.

So, today is painting day. I picked up some paint called “Sour Lime.” I thought I would do something a little bright and cheerful, and I hope it does the trick. I am so indecisive about paint and have get major buyer’s remorse, so I am crossing my fingers.

New rain jacket

Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

It is spring in Georgia. Flowers are really starting to bloom and we can finally get outside. Goodbye cabin fever! Usually it rains like crazy here in April, but with last year’s drought, we barely got any rain. This year, I got a little ahead of myself and bought Liam an actual rain coat. It came with cute little rain boots (which of course I forgot to get pictures of.) Here’s hoping that he will get some use out of it this year.

Flash back, NKOTB back together

Tuesday, March 11th, 2008

So, the first (and only) concert that I stood in line for ever was New Kids on the Block. I begged and pleaded until my dad, who was less than willing, stood in line for 4 hours (for terrible seats might I add). I was a total nerd and had the buttons (yes, those HUGE buttons), the posters, the ugly orange t-shirts, and I professed my love for Joey in a fan letter. Yes, I included my sixth grade picture with my phone number in hopes that he would fall in love with my picture and call.

Although I am older, wiser, and my tastes have changed (ever so slightly), I am somewhat giddy about the news that NKOTB are getting back together. I am not sure I would go to their concert, but it sure brings back fond memories of slumber parties and those butterflies every time I opened Teen Beat. Dreamy. And there is a blackmail tape floating around in my family where I bust a move to Hangin’ Tough.

Here is a little trip down memory lane. I may have to go pull out my old tapes.

Happy birthday Dad!

Tuesday, February 12th, 2008

This is a little early, but I wanted to wish my Dad a happy birthday. We had to celebrate my Dad’s birthday a little early because he will be out of town on a business trip on his real birthday, which is tomorrow. The poor guy always has to compete with Valentine’s Day, and he never complains about it. So happy birthday Dad, you are really the greatest. Have a safe trip and see you soon.
